CASE STUDIES

In a very large-scale project, with a quick turnaround time for a United States government department, MRN gathered medical data and performed triage of 8,000 asbestos exposure employment cases. MRN quickly assembled a team of nurses to meet the high volume of cases, and accomplished the project ahead of schedule.

A delay in diagnosis case was complicated by a plaintiff who had numerous and severe pre-existing medical conditions. The plaintiff presented $700,000.00 in medical bills as part of his demand package. MRN nurses examined the medical and billing records to determine that only $2,500 actually related to the delay in diagnosis. Our client was able to utilize the information gathered by MRN to reduce the plaintiff's expectations and settle the case in a very cost-effective manner.

MRN assisted Kaye Scholer, LLP as part of the Novartis PPA defense team. We provided medical record review, analysis, and other medical/legal support in the PPA litigation. We also conducted extensive reviews of the medical literature to help determine the appropriateness of various expert witnesses being considered for use at trial.

MRN provided record collection and medical record review and analysis for multiple cases of alleged bacterial contamination of a supplement administered to pediatric patients. Through careful review of the medical records, we were able to establish whether exposure occurred and whether or not cultures actually grew the alleged bacteria. We also established clear alternative causation in many of the cases.
