Karen Fox has been involved in all aspects of investigation and evaluation of professional liability and products liability claims and litigation since 1982. She was a nurse consultant for the Office of the Attorney General and a defense law firm prior to starting her consulting practice in 1993. Karen is certified in healthcare risk management and legal nurse consulting. She is a past president of a national nursing association, the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, and a past president of the Oregon Society for Healthcare Risk Management.
Karen attended Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing and Linfield College, where she graduated summa cum laude and received the Senior Honors in Nursing Award. Karen has lectured extensively regarding medical/legal and nursing documentation issues. She has a varied clinical background in adult care and neonatal intensive care.

Peg Woodward is an attorney and a member of the Oregon State Bar since 1980. She has worked for law firms in Florida and Oregon. Peg graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science in nursing from Linfield College. While at Linfield College, she was named to the Dean’s List (1994-1996) and received the 1996 Senior Honors in Nursing Award.
Peg has authored a number of articles for various professional journals and newsletters. She has served as a member of the Health Care Committee for the Governor’s Commission on Senior Services and is a past chair of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants Certification Board. Peg is also a past president of the Oregon Society for Healthcare Risk Management and the Greater Portland/Valley Chapter of Legal Nurse Consultants.
Julie Wilson brings nearly 10 years of accounting and auditing experience to MRN. Julie earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Portland State University while working full-time as a paralegal at Garvey, Schubert & Barer. A licensed CPA in the state of Oregon, she was an Audit Senior Manager at KPMG, LLP in the Portland, Oregon office. During Julie's time at KPMG, her clients included a Fortune 500 company, the largest privately held company in Oregon, a 100+ attorney law firm, and a variety of clients in both the public and private sectors. Julie was also the Primary Campus Recruiter for KPMG, which involved frequent speaking engagements as she scouted top talent from colleges in Oregon, Idaho and Montana.
