Ms. Fox has been involved in all aspects of investigation and evaluation of professional liability and products liability claims and litigation since 1982. She was a nurse consultant for the Office of the Attorney General and a defense law firm prior to starting her consulting practice in 1993. Karen is certified in healthcare risk management and legal nurse consulting. She is a past president of a national nursing association, the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, and a past president of the Oregon Society of Healthcare Risk Management.

Karen attended Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing and Linfield College, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and received the Senior Honors in Nursing Award. Karen has lectured extensively regarding medical/legal and nursing documentation issues. She has a varied clinical background in adult care and neonatal intensive care.
